Mr. Antônio and Mrs. Antônia Samorano, the family’s second generation in the industry, found a new custom furniture company.
Mr. Antônio and Julio Samorano — the third generation — found Century, the family’s first industry dedicated exclusively to upholstered furniture manufacturing. It all began with only 17 employees.
Century’s first factory expansion reaches 6,000 m² of production area and 78 employees.
Julio Cesar and Nathalia Samorano, the family’s fourth generation, take over the leadership of Century.
In 2024, Century receives the iF Design Award for the first time, with three award-winning products: the Sublime armchair and the Pomme and Desmond collections.
In 2025, for the second consecutive year, Century has three products awarded the iF Design Award: the Lígure, Blumen, and Aclive armchairs.
Awarded the iF Design Award for the third consecutive year, in 2026 Century received the prize for the Boemi armchair.
